Founder Firefly Speech Therapy

Elizabeth Caruso a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in the assessment and treatment of articulation and language disorders in children. Her style is positive and warm, with a passion for narrative and literacy-based therapy.

Before becoming a Speech-Language Pathologist, Elizabeth worked for several years as an in-home Behavior Therapist with young children on the autism spectrum. This sparked a love for empowering families to create fun and meaningful language opportunities in the home environment.

As a Hanen-certified Speech-Language Pathologist, Elizabeth has the privilege of working with parents of young children with autism and language delays, where she continues to share practical strategies for learning language naturally.

Elizabeth has also received literacy training through Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes. She works with students to strengthen decoding and comprehension, incorporating these strategies throughout her practice.

Working in the school setting for fourteen years with children ages three to twelve, Elizabeth has the knowledge and experience to confidently address a variety of language-based disorders and collaborate effectively with a number of professionals.

When she is not exploring new children’s literature, she loves creating materials for her clients and sharing inspiration with other speech therapists on her blog and Instagram account.
